We’ve long been fans of the Munich jazz/out label ECM (Edition of Contemporary Music) founded in 1969. Revisiting some of our favorites from the past few years including an interesting 2011 collaboration from minimalism techno whiz Ricardo Villalobos and experimentalist Max Loderbauer. Two CD’s and almost two hours later - still loving it. Running the timeline we’ll be visiting the excellent 2012 Marc Johnson recording Swept Away, and this year’s Chants from the Craig Taborn Trio. Killer stuff to start the mind’s gears to turning. ECM and a good read here.
Italian deep house label Back & Forth bringing Vol 3 of the Letters From Venice series April 6th 2013… yes indeed.
